FOSS is the parent/teacher association of the school. It was formed in 1950 and in 1990 the name was changed to Friends of Sutton-on-Sea School to acknowledge those in the wider community who actively support our work. Today our aims remain the same with the ultimate goal that our children benefit from our involvement.
An Annual General Meeting is held each September/October and all parents, staff and friends are welcome. Additionally, members are welcome to any committee meetings or to contact any member of the committee with suggestions etc. via the school office.
We look forward to receiving your support for the benefit of all our children.
We have found being members of FOSS very rewarding. Whether it has been lending a helping hand at a school disco or running a stall at the Xmas Fayre. It is not hard work and the children really appreciate seeing their parents' faces in school.
We are desperately in need of more parents to help at events. If you are unable to help at events, there are simple things at home you can do like add the Easy Fundraising Toolbar on your computer. It is a very simple way of raising money for your school just by clicking to activate it whilst you are shopping online. Click here for more information.
If you would like to voice your opinion on what we spend the money on (i.e. panto, disco's, trips etc) or you have any fundraising suggestions, please come along to our meetings, we are very friendly and welcome any new ideas.
Please LIKE our Facebook page F.O.S.S this will have updates on meetings and events.
Meetings usually take place straight after school and it is fine to bring your child/children with you.
