INFORMATION FOR PARENTS, CARERS AND STAFF

 

Our children came back into school on 8th March 2021.  The first step on the road map to normal school days returning. 

Many thanks to our Town Crier for welcoming our children back.

GUIDANCE ON REMOTE LEARNING FOR PARENTS AND CARERS

Sutton on Sea CP School remote education provision: information for parents and carers

 

 Lincolnshire Councils’ SEND Advice Line Service have worked with recommendations from educational psychologists to bring together this resource to share with parents to help signpost to available support for children with SEND during home-learning.

If required classes will  deliver remote learning via:

and other online resources as directed.

Daily teaching activities will be able to be accessed as from 9.00am.

Tapestry will also be used for parents, carers and teachers to communicate with each other. 

Purple Mash Class Blogs and 2EMail may be used for children to communicate with their classmates and staff in a safe, monitored environment.  Some classes will also post instructions on their blog as to the day's learning as a back up to Tapestry.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school if there is anything we can help you with.

The learning packs that were sent home last term should not be used until your teacher tells you to use them.

If you are unable to access online learning at all please contact the school for advice. 

Past Bitesize TV programmes are accessible via BBC IPlayer and the Bitesize Lessons are still available with the usual videos, quizzes and activities.

 THE BACK GATE WILL NOT BE OPENED AT ALL.  ALL CHILDREN CURRENTLY ATTENDING SCHOOL MUST USE THE MAIN GATE (AT SIDE OF SCHOOL HOUSE), THEIR TEMPERATURE WILL BE TAKEN DIGITALLY BEFORE ENTERING THE SCHOOL GROUNDS.

THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME CHANGES IN WHAT TIME YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN WILL NEED TO ARRIVE AT SCHOOL.  SCHOOL WILL INFORM INDIVIDUAL CLASSES AS TO ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES, THIS WILL ALLOW GREATER SOCIAL DISTANCING AT THE GATE.

Please read as much as you can with your child,  reading is the foundation of all subjects and can be a relaxing, calming experience.  In addition to the online links for free books, through the Purple Mash and Espresso logins there are further books available to share.

On this website (Classes section) the Curriculum Maps for this term's learning are posted in your child's class.  Please access these to see what learning is being currently delivered.

 FREE SCHOOL MEALS

 

APPLYING FOR FREE SCHOOL MEALS

During the current situation, some of you may have changed circumstances with your job, and so your child may now be eligible for Free School Meal status.

To find out if you meet the criteria, you should complete an online application form which is available on this link:

You can apply for any child who is currently in school.

Even if you don’t qualify at present, once you have registered on the system, your details will be checked periodically, through your National Insurance Number, to see if your circumstances have changed.
