GUIDANCE ON REMOTE LEARNING FOR PARENTS AND CARERS
Please click on the blue links below for information.
Lincolnshire Councils’ SEND Advice Line Service have worked with recommendations from educational psychologists to bring together this resource to share with parents to help signpost to available support for children with SEND during home-learning.
If required classes will deliver remote learning via:
and platforms such as:
Purple Mash: https://www.purplemash.com/sch/sutton-on-sea
Oak National Academy: https://www.thenational.academy
and other online resources as directed.
Daily teaching activities will be able to be accessed as from 9.00am.
Tapestry will also be used for parents, carers and teachers to communicate with each other.
Purple Mash Class Blogs and 2EMail may be used for children to communicate with their classmates and staff in a safe, monitored environment. Some classes will also post instructions on their blog as to the day's learning as a back up to Tapestry.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school if there is anything we can help you with.
The learning packs that were sent home last term should not be used until your teacher tells you to use them.
If you are unable to access online learning at all please contact the school for advice.
Past Bitesize TV programmes are accessible via BBC IPlayer and the Bitesize Lessons are still available with the usual videos, quizzes and activities.
If you have any safeguarding concerns:
Mr Pearson is the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and can be contacted on the school line – 01507 441319.
THE BACK GATE WILL NOT BE OPENED AT ALL. ALL CHILDREN CURRENTLY ATTENDING SCHOOL MUST USE THE MAIN GATE (AT SIDE OF SCHOOL HOUSE), THEIR TEMPERATURE WILL BE TAKEN DIGITALLY BEFORE ENTERING THE SCHOOL GROUNDS.
THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME CHANGES IN WHAT TIME YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN WILL NEED TO ARRIVE AT SCHOOL. SCHOOL WILL INFORM INDIVIDUAL CLASSES AS TO ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES, THIS WILL ALLOW GREATER SOCIAL DISTANCING AT THE GATE.
Please check out the links below for books that are available online, for free.
Please read as much as you can with your child, reading is the foundation of all subjects and can be a relaxing, calming experience. In addition to the online links for free books, through the Purple Mash and Espresso logins there are further books available to share.
HOME LEARNING DURING SELF ISOLATION
Links to support learning, whilst at home, have been moved to the Learning Links page which can be found on the Learning & SEND tab from the home page.
On this website (Classes section) the Curriculum Maps for this term's learning are posted in your child's class. Please access these to see what learning is being currently delivered.
